RIGEL is a non-governmental, non-profit organisation founded by Risha Gautam. Risha began her service in her childhood to support disadvantaged children. In 2023, wanting to make a wider-scaled impact, Risha decided to start Rigel, and started planning ways to promote educational equity and health awareness, finally registering the NGO in 2024. Risha, currently pursuing the IBDP at St. Joseph’s Institution International, Singapore, believes education is the key to equity and social progress. Through RIGEL, she works to provide learning opportunities, raise awareness, and empower young minds to build a more educated society.
Risha is a 18-year-old student in Singapore. Her determination for equity through education has propelled her to immerse herself ever more deeply with her own education. Risha has pursued various projects, such as organising a mechanics industry expert webinar for more than 1000 students from more than 20 schools and developing a feminine hygiene workshop with a doctor for more than 300 girls.
Rigel is a non-profit organisation dedicated to empowering underprivileged students in India. Founded by a teenage girl passionate about equality, Rigel stands for one of the brightest stars in our sky and the brightest star in the Orion constellation. Therefore, so far, Rigel has organised several educational events, such as an industry expert session for more than 1000 students, a feminine hygiene workshop with a doctor for more than 300 girls and raised more than 2000 USD.
